Cookie Policy.

What Astra stores in your browser, why it is there, and how to change it. This policy covers cookies, local storage, and session storage and forms part of our Privacy Policy.

1. What we use

Astra uses essential storage to remember cookie choices and support navigation and requested features. With your permission, optional preference storage remembers your language, operating-system selection, and homepage background. We currently use no analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies.

A cookie is a small value sent with requests to its own site. Local and session storage remain in the browser and are read by our interface. Local storage can remain between visits; session storage usually ends with the browser session.

2. Essential storage

consent is a first-party cookie that records your essential/preferences choice, policy version, and selection time for up to 180 days. It uses Path=/ and SameSite=Lax, and Secure when the site is served over HTTPS. It is JavaScript-readable because the settings interface needs to read your selection. It is not an authentication credential.

3. Optional preferences

language, demo-scrolling, and background use local storage to remember your language, demo scrolling choice, and selected background. platform uses session storage for your operating-system selection. These values are written or restored only when Preferences is enabled.

You can still change the current interface without allowing persistent preference storage. If you turn Preferences off, Astra removes these stored values and keeps subsequent choices in memory for the current page session. Preferences do not last beyond consent expiry when the site next checks them.

4. Third-party services

ScriptBlox and thumbnail hosts provide content shown in the Script Hub. Their servers receive the network information needed to supply that content. Astra does not use their images to set its own analytics or advertising cookies. Their browser behavior and independent privacy practices are covered by their policies.

If authentication, payments, security challenges, or other external services are introduced, this policy must identify their actual cookies and purposes before non-essential storage is enabled. A provider listed elsewhere is not automatically allowed to set optional cookies.

5. Your settings

Essential storage is always available for the features you request. Preferences is optional and off until you allow it. Accept all enables Preferences; Essential only keeps it off. You can open Cookie settings here or from the footer to change your choice. There is currently no analytics or advertising category to enable.

6. Blocking and deleting storage

You can remove site cookies and storage in your browser’s privacy settings. Chrome and Edge provide site-data controls under Privacy and security; Firefox under Cookies and Site Data; and Safari under Manage Website Data. Browser menus may change with updates.

Blocking all browser storage may prevent choices from being remembered and affect navigation restoration. Declining optional preferences does not block access to public pages.

7. Changes and contact

We update this policy when browser storage or service providers change. New optional purposes require a new choice where applicable. The current policy date and privacy contact appear below.
